Action Alert

This is Michele, covering the Action Alert for a few weeks while Carol is out of town.

I hope you have been enjoying your summer and are taking breaks from the news, as needed. I have been learning a lot this summer by participating in online webinars and trainings with different organizations that are doing resistance work.

Last week I joined Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), which is a national network that organizes white people to work for racial and economic justice. Their training was How to Organize Your People: A training for white people on how to have hard conversations. It was a worthwhile experience and I found its ideas pretty useful. I have attached one of the handouts.

Good news

A few hours can make a big difference! From now through the 2026 Mid-Term Election (November 3rd), we have volunteer opportunities for every interest, skill set, and schedule.

The largest need is for office help, but there are many other opportunities including Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
