Things you can do right now
1. Oppose the “Ballroom Bill”
The bill gives more money to ICE, CBP, and Trump’s hated ballroom while adding $71 billion to the deficit. 5 Calls has a good link to get you started.
2. Contact your MOC and ask them to support the PREDICT Act
This is a bipartisan bill that will ban members of Congress, the president, vice president, and senior executive branch officials from trading on prediction markets tied to political events and policy decisions. You can find senators here and representatives here. Here is some sample language:
"Please support and pass the PREDICT Act. Public officials should not be able to profit from betting on political events or government decisions over which they have influence or when they have access to insider knowledge. That’s a clear conflict of interest. The PREDICT Act would ban this practice, extend the rules to close family members and staff, and hold violators accountable. This is a simple, common-sense step to restore trust in government."
3. Stop Funding for Border Patrol and ICE in the Reconciliation Bill
This funding is on top of the $70 billion they already received in the “Big Beautiful Bill.” Call Republican senators here and Republican representatives here.
4. Start Writing Those Postcards NOW for Midterms
The Progressive Turnout Project targets inconsistent voters who will likely vote blue with a handwritten postcard they’ll receive before the midterm election. You'll receive a minimum of 100 state-specific postcards to work on over the next months. Postcards are free but we supply the $0.61 postcard stamps and mail all the postcards in early October. Their website is periodically updated. Sign up here.
