Things you can do right now

1. Let Your Member of Congress Know You Want Action on Voting Rights.

Once again, 5 Calls makes it easy.

2. Stop the Slush Fund

In a move brazen even for him, the president will soon agree to a settlement with an IRS commissioner he can fire, dropping his $10 billion lawsuit in exchange for a $1.7 billion slush fund to “compensate” the henchmen who committed crimes for his benefit, including the nearly 1,600 people charged with attacking the Capitol to overturn the results of the election on January 6th. Find out how to make your opinion known.

3. No War Wednesdays

Indivisible has organized phone banks every Wednesday in May to call voters in key states to demand their Members of Congress block any more funding for the Irn war, use the War Powers Resolutions, and hold this administration accountable. Sign up to participate (training provided).

4. Call Your Member of Congress to Demand the US Rejoin the World Health Organization (WHO)

Just as an Ebola virus breaks out and AIDS cases are rising, the US has withdrawn from WHO and cut overseas health aid. This is not only cruel, it is short-sighted. Contact your Member of Congress (download contact information) using any variation on the language below or Text SIGN PIMKZY to 50409 (via RESIST BOT) Be sure to leave your full name and address.

"I’m sure you know that the World Health Organization has declared a public health emergency after an Ebola outbreak caused 350 reported cases and 88 deaths in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

As your constituent I’m urging you to push for the US to rejoin the WHO, recommit to funding programs supporting global health and researching infectious diseases, and begin to prioritize science again. Failing this, the danger posed to US citizens by public health emergencies will continue to be heightened— much to our detriment.

Push the Trump administration to prioritize and fund public health! Thanks."

5. Oppose Anti-LGBTQ Bills

These bills are coming up in the House this week. Learn more at 5 Calls.
